Posted January 16, 2018. As other people said what you need to do is level up. As you gain levels you'll also get Hero Points which can be spent to unlock skills and traits (passive skill lines basically). Levelling from 1-80 will get you enough Hero Points to unlock all the core skills and trait lines.
I think it would be even more of a problem for someone to boost their first character to 80, buy hero points to unlock elite specs, buy gems to convert to gold to get equipment (either directly from the TP or via things like buying materials to level crafting to make ascended), buy the waypoint unlocks and whatever other upgrades and cosmetics
If you level from 1-80 and do no other challenges, you get enough HPs to finish the core skills and traits. That is it. No left overs. (Because these lines need to be fully completed before you spend points in Elite lines)Fully unlocking core skills =98 hero points.Fully unlocking core traits =300 hero points.=398.
Having played a lot of both this game and Destiny 2, I vastly prefer this system. Especially with Destiny 2's Stasis unlock, having to go through the quest 3 times, and unlock each ability 3 times was so asinine and I hated it.
And we should get 398 hero points on getting to level 80. Everything was working well before this patch on 11/9. Now, after many levels, the hero points remain to be zero. And when checking the net, at level 29 I should have gotten 8 hero points, and at level 31 another 8 hero points.
Select crafting professions and level them up. Get some cool looking armor and dyes for your character. Select a legendary weapon you like and you can start working towards that SLOWLY. (This is a really slow process or can be fast and expensive :D ) If you like fractals you can do them.
To0Qkq. 3. as pointed out by others, hero points certainly do not take 15 hours and if they do, you really need to read up, watch some guides and improve on your game play as well as game knowledge. There are enough guides around to tackle this. A straitforward approach would be to join hero point trains.
8 skill points were earned at levels 20, 26 and 32. 7 skill points were earned at levels 38, 44, 50 and 56. 6 skill points were earned at levels 62, 68, 74 and 80. Usage Skill acquisition . To learn a skill, players would open the Hero panel, select the Skills and Traits tab on the left, then select Slot Skills. Each locked skill would display
The game is designed for you to unlock everything at level 80. You do not need to save hero points. If you want to unlock your elite spec, you need to fully unlock your base spec first.
