The XC was Hunter's entry-level residential controller that was sunset in 2010. The XC was replaced by the X-Core, which was developed as a more efficient and versatile solution for the same applications. The X-Core is recommended as the replacement for current XC owners. The display shows dashes when the dial is in the Solar Sync Settings position. Cause. The Solar Sync sensor is not connected to the controller X-Core to run normally anymore, unless i change the switch from active to bypass. I removed the rain sensor connections and reinstalled the jumper, reset the X-Core several times, but anytime I turn the dial to "Run" the "Off" message with the umbrella will show up.
